Indonesia and South Korea Film Establish Platforms for Co Production Opportunities     Film and TV Production in Texas
The state of Texas has many selling points for film crews. From the lay of the land, such as in Friday Night Lights, to the historic architecture in many of our cities. But a major change in legislation is driving those productions away. "In Texas, we've had better times," Rebecca Campbell, CEO of the Austin Film Society (AFS), said. "We've really noticed that, with the incentive being smaller, a lot of production has moved away to other states." Cities like Austin already have empty sound stages waiting to house film studios. The AFS is home to one of the largest green screens in all of Texas, at 23 feet tall and 87 feet long. Campbell says the tax incentives are a major driving force for production companies.

The Indonesian Creative Economy Agency, Bekraf, and Korean Film Council, known as Kofic, have agreed to support film industries in both countries through co-production, a representative said in Jakarta on Wednesday (10/8).
